With the development of economy and the popularity of mobile Internet, video service has become an indispensable way of entertainment and information acquisition. Video service has a characteristic that is the data transmission traffic is busy, which will cause great pressure on the data center. To solve this problem we must use the load balancing technology, and traditional load balancing can only be local optimal, not global.Software defined network technology is a new technology which is developed in recent years. It separates the control layer and the forwarding layer of the network. The controller can configure and manage the switch, and then then make the global control of traffic transmitting.According to the background, a global dynamic load balancing system based on SDN video data center is designed in this paper combined with the advantages of SDN.The system mainly includes the network sensing module, network detection module, video frame identification module, and the routing module. The sensing module uses the link access interface provided by the Ryu controller to get topology information. The detection module is mainly used to detect the state of the switch, the information of the switch port, the calculation of the flow rate of the port, the available bandwidth of the link and so on.When the number of nodes in the network topology is relatively small, the depth first traversal is used to obtain all the reachable paths from the source to the destination node. When the topology nodes are more, the KSP algorithm is used to calculate the shortest-K paths from the source to the destination node. Then, the paths can be synthetically evaluated by using the direct link delay, the link available bandwidth and the number of path hops. The video frame recognition module uses the analog method to identify the I, P and B frames of the video, and then uses the integrated optimal path obtained by the route calculation module to multiply the video frames based on the priority. Finally, a Mininet platform is built to simulate the test.Experiments show that the load balancing system designed in this paper can effectively improve the average utilization of the link, reduce the transmission delay, and the priority based transmission can reduce the packet loss rate of the video.
