With the development of social networks,Mobile Internet,Internet of things and the other areas of business,data centers that is relied by the infrastructure of these businesseshas many major changes.With the increasing of the data center network scale and the diversification and the complication of the network service,the network traffic is growing rapidly.Due to the traditional static operation mode and rigid management method,the network traffic is not flexible,fast and intelligent,which makes the slowly research of the traffic scheduling in the data center.SDN as a new network architecture,the goal is to achieve the separation of control and forwarding andthe forwarding function network by a centralized way.The centralized controller can schedule flexible by using of the global information.The SDN technology has a wide application and deployment in the data center network.This paper applies SDN technology to the data center network,proposing a real-time traffic scheduling method based on SDN(Real-time Traffic Scheduling Method based on SDN,RTSM-SDN),which is more flexible and intelligent traffic scheduling than previous,so as to improve the utilization rate of the network resource.The main work and innovation of this paper are as follows.(1)Analyzing the background and research status of traffic scheduling in data center and combining with the principle of traffic scheduling,the SDN technology is applied to the data center network.In the SDN network architecture,the controller has a global view by the interaction of the switches' OpenFlow message switch that can obtain the performance parameters of the underlying network(currently available link bandwidth,link delay,packet loss rate,etc.).The calculation of routing these real-time parameters are added to the routing metric that this path is considered in the calculation of network topology by considering the current situation of network,as far as possible to avoid network congestion and improve the network quality of service.(2)Combined with the data center network traffic characteristics and the transmission requirements of elephants and mice,the real-time link delay and the packet loss rate are the mouse mice flowrouting metric that will link the current available bandwidth as the elephant flow routing metric and the basis of adding hard threshold transmission delay as constraints,establishing the target function: minimized network routing metric.The experimental results show that the RTSM-SDN scheme is better than the ECMP,Hedera and RepFlow in terms of transmission delay,overall network throughput and packet retransmission times.To protect the transmission of the mice flow at the same time,RTSM-SDN can guarantee the good elephant transmission and greatly increasing the network throughput and link utilization.
