Ship navigation system is based on computer and communications networks. It integrate the information of the external navigation sensors, optimize the combination, then calculate and analysis these information. The whole system provide the ship operator with the best location, speed and heading as well as the working condition of the ship, the navigation environment and other information. And will assist the ship operator successfully complete his navigation task.However, as the ship is now equipped with more and more modern devices, as well as a variety of device independence in function and operation, the entire structure of the ship systems face increasingly complex and cumbersome to operate, upgrade and maintenance.Also there are difficulties in information sharing, mobility, extensions and many other issues.So, it causes the design of a centralized information system for the ship to view and manage become great difficulties. Traditional C / S architecture design of the ship software encounter many problems. In this paper, it starts from the studies of the ship architecture, Research on the use of modern sophisticated Web B / S (Browser / Server) architecture model to complete the entire ship systems of integrated information services.We deeply research on the structures of the integrated navigation system at first. Then the electrical Characteristics, the communication rate, data encoding, the contents of the communication, the communication frequency was studied in detail. And compares the ship navigation systems use C / S architecture and B / S architecture, and fined the advantages and disadvantages in the system design. Study the feasibility of the use of B / S architecture from the structure and data communication.Secondly, Study the common B / S Architecture, and compares the commonly used server software in functionality, stability,security, scalability and technical support. In the end,we chose Apache as the Web server,MySQL as the database server,the browser front using JavaScript scripting language and PHP as the backend script to implement the entire B / S architecture. And the system is divided into the presentation layer, business logic layer and data layer three-tier structure.Finally, in order to realize the scalability of the ship system software, we studied the use of MySQL database to describe the composition of the entire system, the use of a scripting language to realize the automatically build of the system and automatic extension. Separate the system data management, capabilities and user operation with a modular design. Finally,design a system composed of Web language interface for system menu bar, the device information display field and important information display boards and realized the system scalability and other functions.
