Direction of arrival technique is a important part of the array signal processing.With the proposed of subspace estimation algorithm likeMUSIC and ESPIRIT,Narrow band signal's DO A theory gradually complete,and it has mature methods of hardware implementation.But with the technological development of related fields,narrowband array signal processing systems can not meet the performance requirements,wide band signal began widely used in signal processing systems.Because of the complicated features of wide band signal,there still has no appropriate algorithm which can find balance between the amount of computation and the accuracy.The main objective of this thesis is to find an appropriate DOA algorithm of wide band related signal,the method should fit few number uniform linear array and can implement on FPGA system.Firstly this thesis researches in the DOA methods of narrowband coherent signals which based on the simulations of subspace method estimation,and states the significance of the unitary transform on the array data covariance matrix.From the perspective of hardware implementation,combined with the simulation results,this thesis has comparison with some wideband signal subspace estimation for the basis of the scheme proposed.Secondly on the basis of the comparison,the thesis proposed an appropriate algorithm that fit the qualification of this design.The scheme is based on ISM algorithm,combined with spatial smoothing method to decorrelate the signal's correlation,and used unitary transform for reducing the amount of computation.Thirdly the thesis mainly elaborates the eigenvalue decomposition module which has the largest amount of computation.With compared between QR and Jacobi algorithm of implementataion on FPGA.The thesis chooses Jacobi algorithm in the scheme.At last,with the simulation of the complete modules,test and verify the modules performances,After theoretical derivation of the incomplete module performance.The conclusion gives the design's approximate performance.
