Optical fiber sensing technology began in the 1970s.The traditional sensors will be substituted by fiber optic sensors due to the technology's advantages.Although a fiber-optic sensor technology has some advantages which is mature,simple structure and low cost,it is easy to interference.Signal strength fluctuations and changes in light intensity will cause signal distortion.Therefore,appropriate compensation should be taken by this sensor.To solve these shortcomings,this paper proposes a displacement and temperature sensors based on three fibers.The system can automatically compensate for light intensity,which is based on principles of fiber optic sensors.Firstly,this paper introduces the basic principles of the strength of fiber optic sensing by comparing transmissive and reflective sensors.The paper also analyzes of the characteristics of radiation field intensity distribution by the distributional assumptionsSecondly,the paper introduces traditional compensation techniques' basic principles,analyzes the shortcomings of these technologies.The paper proposes an automatically compensated measurement method which is three fibers compensation.To demonstrate the feasibility of the compensation method,the paper analyzes the technical difficulties of three fibers compensation technology,makes three fibers optic sensor probe,and examines its basic performance.The result indicates that the method is feasible.The paper programs PC application based on Lab VIEW,which can collect angular displacement data,process data came from the pressure and temperature sensors and angular displacementFinally,the three fibers optic sensor(can automatically compensate pressure and temperature sensors)is done an experiment to test the stability of the system,draw the curve of pressure-light intensity and temperature characteristic curve-light intensity characteristic.Experimental data show that the three fibers optic sensor based on probe pressure sensor and a temperature sensor can automatically compensate light. |
