Design And Application Of A Novel Planar Interdigitated Electrode Sensor

In recent years,the Internet of Things technology has become increasingly attractive due to their huge business value and social effects.However,the sensors which regarded as the nerve of the internet of things developed slowly and even became the bottleneck to progress.Especially in the sensor field of water quality detection,poisonous inorganic and metal ions has attracted the close attention of the public.An interdigatal electrode sensor was designed for inorganic ion detection,the detecting mechanism and effectiveness of this sensor was presented in this work.Based on electrode process applied over a sinusoidal voltage,the sensor-solution model was built and quantified about their interface structure and electrical properties,the double-layer model of planar interdigitated electrode sensors was proposed to characterize the sensor-solution model.Using ordinary electric components to describe the double-layer model have been proved to be effective ways,a general equivalent circuit model was proposed finally to characterize the detecting mechanism of planar interdigitated electrode sensors in inorganic salt solution.The double-layer structure and the corresponding equivalent circuit model change along with frequency increase,the optimization strategy of sensor structure was proposed aimed to reduce electrode constant.In order to investigate the detection performance of different shapes of planar interdigitated electrode sensors,build some simulation models with COMSOL Multiphysic and experiment platform.The simulation results shows the the advantages of interdigitated electrode sensors.Experimental results indicated that the sensors have the ability to distinguish the different concentrations of inorganic salt solution.Finally,On the basis of planar interdigitated electrode sensors,commercial sensors,a distributed intelligent monitoring system for water environment is design and realized which provides water quality information,environmental video information and spatial location information.
