Intuitively,facial shape refers to the contour of face and relates to curvature.With the dramatically development of social media,facial shape beautification becomes an extremely challenging research topic in multidisciplinary research fields,such as computer animation,virtual reality,psychology,face recognition and so on,especially for the tremendous demand in aesthetic surgery and medical community.Simultaneously,the transformation of facial shape is also widely used in different industries,such as science fiction filmmaking industry,computer game design,biological community,three-dimensional reconstruction,face synthesis,criminal detection,etc.In this paper,we propose six different face templates as the target model that respectively are oval,round,inverted triangle,triangle,rectangle,diamond,which can improve the attractiveness of facial shape and transform freely shape to what you want desired.Firstly,we exploit Active shape model for automatic extracting feature points that avoids extraordinary sophistication of manual operation.Secondly,Procrustes analysis is adopted to align the original image and target template to realize coordinate normalization(translation,scale,rotation).Subsequently,Laplace mesh editing techniques is utilized in order to achieve deformation while preserving the local details.At last,by using affine transformation of triangular mesh and three-convolution interpolation technique,the result is more natural and beautiful.To a great extent,a practical application in this paper is that we can make up for the defects of landscaping software which cannot provide a perfect face template.Simultaneously,our proposed method can remedy some facial shape deficiencies,such as high convex,leniency,depressions and narrow of face,making unsightly parts and facial proportions more coordination and symmetry while largely maintaining the individual characteristics.The results show that 85% of the original image can be greatly improved,and the remaining 7% of which i s not much changed.Compared with other three kinds of beautification methods,experiment manifest that our proposed method is exceptionally innovation and more comprehensive.
