With the complexity of the transmission business and the gradual increase in transmission rate,the current communication satellite is not as traditional as the satellite is simply a transparent forwarding,but the integration of On-Board-Switch,On-Board-Routing and other technologies,which is like a router in space.These technologies greatly enhance the flexibility of satellite network applications,and can adapt to emerging new business needs.This thesis is based on laboratory project-"Design and Implementation of 10 G Private Switching Unit" characterized by special design requirements,and focuses on the detailed design of the interface unit,including traffic classification method,packet processing and lookup method.Firstly,this thesis introduces the research background and 10 G Ethernet interface technology.Secondly,according to the special design requirements of 10 G Private Switching Unit,the overall design scheme of 10 G Private switching unit is given,and the function and interface design of each module are expounded.Thirdly,the detailed design and implementation of traffic classification and packet processing module are proposed.The traffic classification mainly completes the function of extraction and classification according to the key words of the data link layer,the network layer and the transport layer.The packet processing mainly completes the function of correct reception of the frame,the execution of the classification result and the modification of the specific fields in the frame.Fourthly,the detailed design and implementation of the lookup table module are proposed.For the MAC address lookup,the multi-parallel MAC address lookup and MAC address learning method are introduced.For the IP route lookup,the binary search on range algorithm and bit vector algorithm are introduced.Finally,functional simulation is conducted on each design module using Mentor Graphics,and board-level tests are completed.Meanwhile,debugging problems encountered are analyzed and summarized.The test results show that the design scheme can meet the requirements of the 10 G Private Switching Unit.In this thesis,the innovation includes: First,the scheme of multi-parallel packet processing and lookup algorithm greatly improves the switching capacity;Second,for MAC address lookup,the CRC-10 parallel processing methods improves the MAC address search speed;For the MAC address lookup and MAC address learning,the scheme of parallel processing greatly improves the MAC address search speed;Fourth,for IP routing lookup,the bit vector algorithm improves the IP routing lookup search speed.
