D2D(Device-to-Device communication)-based mobile social network is a kind of cellular network in which D2D is applied for direct communication among devices, and the social network dervices and applications are beared as well. The D2D can help with the flexibility of the social network applications, while it also benefits from the social network in link security and reliability. However, with shared spectrum among the D2D devices and between the D2D and the cellular networks, serious intra-tier and inter-tier interferences exist in the D2D-based mobile social network, which therefore leads to degradation in spectral efficiency performance. To meet this challenge, this research studies for the resource management in wireless network based on social-awareness, aiming to promote the spectral efficiency for the D2D-based mobile social network. The main contributions are as follows:(1) D2D-based mobile social network with device cooperation: to mitigate the intra-tier interference and improve the spectral efficiency for the core users, a 2-tier model for D2D-based mobile social network is established based on stochastic geometry, and a dynamic cooperation scheme based on average received signal power (D2D-DyCoMP) is proposed. The expression for spectral efficiency of the typical core user is derived and thus verified binumerical and Monte Carlo simulations. By enabling cooperation among devices, the D2D-DyCoMP can promote spectral efficiency of the typical core user by approximately 47.5% on average, compared to the conventional paired D2D scheme.(1) D2D-based mobile social network with device and station cooperation: to mitigate the inter-tier interference and improve the spectral efficiency for the edge users, a cross-tier cooperation scheme based on the location of user (D2D-LoCoMP) is proposed. The expression for spectral efficiency of the typical edge user is derived and thus verified binumerical and Monte Carlo simulations. By enabling cooperation between devices and cellular stations, the D2D-LoCoMP can promote spectral efficiency of the typical edge user by approximately 16.6% on average, compared to the conventional paired D2D scheme.(3)Joint allocation of bandwidth and power for D2D networks with cooperation: to reduce the complexity of radio resource management, the optimization problem of bandwidth and power for D2D cooperative networks with M stations and N users is established, and a low-complexity optimal allocation algorithm is designed both for diversity and multiplex modes based on the optimal solution conditions. This algorithm derives the allocation solutions in diversity mode (72.7% faster than general searching algorithms), and reduces the computational complexity in multiplex mode from f(M,N) to f(2,N) at the most (71.1% faster than general searching algorithms).
