We are now living in an era of information explosion,the network communication have go deep into the aspects of people's life.Although the development of the communication technologies progress the increasing of the transmission capacity,the demand of network capacity keep growing,which is the constant power that have been promoting the development of the communication.Nowadays,on one hand,flexgrid optical networks have fine granularity compared to the fixed grid in traditional WDM networks.Thus,the resource utilization in flexgrid optical networks is more efficient and sufficient.On the other hand,the SDM technology improved the network transmission capacity dramatically through expanding the number of communication channels on the space.Hence the two technologies above are promising to meet the future capacity crunch.This paper studied the resource optimization problem of the networking in flexible optical networks with the MCF of SDM.Since the routing and the resource allocation is the key technology to solve the problem of resource optimization,it became the focus of the paper.The content of this paper is based on the relative research that the author has done and the main work and achievements of the paper are as follows:Firstly,we discussed the development of optical networks and concluded that the persistent demands for network capacity are the driving force of the optical networks.The resource granularity in flexigrid optical networks is smaller than that in the traditional WDM networks,the SDM technology can improve the network transmission capacity greatly,thus the combination of the above two is a high quality solution to the current network capacity demand.Secondly,in order to solve the resource optimization problem of SDM flexgrid optical networks better,we studied the key issues involved in the network.Including the characteristics of resource in the flexgrid optical networks,and the key issues such as the principle of the multiplexing and demultiplexing of MCF and the crosstalk between the cores,then the new features of SDM flexgrid optical networks was discussed.Thirdly,we analyzed the routing and resource allocation algorithms of SDM flexgrid optical networks in static scenarios and dynamic scenario respectively.And the characteristics of different business situations have been discussed.Finally,we put forward a novel algorithm.The algorithm aimed at making full use of the resource.From the simulation result,we can conclude that our proposed algorithm performs better compared with the contrast algorithms.
