In the past 60 years, the Internet based on TCP / IP protocols core network architecture develops fast and has made a very rapid growth. But a number of drawbacks are also showing up. Given that it is difficult to meet the user's needs for contents, some changes have to be made. In 2020 and the future, the Internet of Things(IOT) is coming, all things are interconnected,it will bring the network explosion of data traffic, most of them could be attributed to the content retrieval applications. So the traditional network faces severe challenges and difficulties. The innovative Information Centric Network architecture has been proposed aiming at replacing the original Internet Protocol address with content name. The internet users no longer concentrate on where the content is but on what the content is. To be brief, Internet users only concerned with the content itself. In the second chapter, we introduce the ICN architecture and its key technologies, such as naming rules, routing mechanisms and caching strategy, etc. And we also make Content Centric Network an example, make a detailed description of its packet structure and communication process. Besides, we carried out a more comprehensive research on the existing caching strategies. For there are a large number of cache impact factors, we will categorize them into following three aspects: topology-related cache impact factor, mainly consider the node's cache size and its topology importance; content-related cache impact factor shows how the node perceive the contents; other types of cache impact factors are about the node's state and the number of hops to the content hit node, etc. All the factors described above will affect the efficiency of the cache system in the network. Therefore, this paper puts forward a cache placement strategy based on multi-factor analysis. It is the key to comprehensively evaluate the impact of various cache factors on the node cache efficiency. The United States Academy of Engineering Thomas Satty proposed AHP in 1970s, it is a scientific decision-making theory with high accuracy, and it is widely used in many fields to solve complex problems. By applying weight distributed rule based on AHP, set weight for all the selected influence factors and evaluate them objectively. Finally one of the nodes on the data packet return path is to be chosen to place the hit content, and we consider it to be the best location to place content copy.In the last chapter, we simulate our strategy which is based on the multi-factor analysis method proposed in the fourth chapter. Before simulation we should implement the CCN node model first and also set the parameters as well as our strategy. Finally, the simulation results show that our proposed cache placement strategy have higher cache hit radio, fewer hitting average hop count and lower server load than the default LCD and LCE strategy as well as probcache strategy. So the feasibility of the proposed strategy is verified by the simulation results.
