With the rapid development of IoT related techniques,management for sensing devices in an IoT system has been a popular topic recent years.Un-der the condition of increasing number as well as types of sensing devices in an IoT system,conventionally centralized approach of device management has revealed several drawbacks like poor scalability and expensive price of mainte-nance.Accordingly,this thesis proposes a distributed IoT device management approach based on Web Service and designs and implements a prototype sys-tem as well.In order to minimize influence on management efficiency brought by device heterogeneity and to enable users to manage sensing devices in a pinpointed way,this thesis comes up with several methods such as device en-capsulation with Web Service techniques,describing correlation among device services by social network models and device selection algorithms based on var-ious dimensions.At the same time,this thesis designs and implements every functional module composing the prototype system.As some sensing devices need to transmit different types of data towards the system when working,the thesis designs and implements a data storage and management module aimed at such data.Besides,the thesis also designs and implements a device hetero-geneity encapsulation and service presentation module on the basis of encapsu-lation methods together with the correlation models,based on which a service selection and device management module is proposed given different service selection algorithms in various dimensions.And to get an accurate evaluation on integrity and robustness of the prototype system,the thesis also carries out functional validations as well as performance experiments for several different functions and application scenarios in the end.
