Design And Implementation Of A Display Control Terminal System Based On Android

Development of information technology and the limitations of traditional media advertising bring about the new media advertising.The new media advertising is an effective complement to traditional media advertising,and it also provides enterprises with a better way to touch up users.Advertisement displaying on electronic screens and projectors outdoors or in the buildings is a kind of new media advertising.Its main job is to show the advertisements,and to provide some interactions in order to achieve the purpose of enhancing the brand visibility.Currently many electronic screen media advertising systems still take offline ways to manage their terminals,or take embedded Linux mode implementation,with high development cost,limited scalability and high hardware cost.Electronic screen media advertising system needs a new model to adapt to new requirements.This thesis analyzes the current need of the enterprises,discusses the shortcomings of existing electronic screen media advertising system implementation,thus,it proposes a new Android-based display and control terminal system.This system connects electronic screens to the Internet through Android set-top box,and then the content management platform can manage all display control terminals remotely,including publishing contents,monitoring and operating.In this way,advertisements can be updated timely and conveniently,at the same time the abnormal condition can be known and handled efficiently.Implementation of this display and control terminal system for business promotion and media advertising provides a convenient way to manage the advertising terminal,and meet the requirements of low hardware cost and good scalability.This thesis firstly analyzes the requirements of display and control terminal system,and then describes the overall design of the system,including hardware selection,overall structure,core process and file structure.Then according to the terminal's main function of playing and controlling advertisement materials,and communicating with the platform,it consists of four modules,namely,external communication module,data management module,material playing module and display module.The function and major process of each module are described in detail to explain the design and implementation of the terminal system.The function and performance tests verify that the realization of display control terminal system meets the design objectives.Finally,there is a summary of the whole work and some discussion of further improvement and expansion of the display control terminal system.
