With the continuous development of computer hardware technology and cloud computing technology, the electric power system also began to establish their own data center platform in order to support the network and computing resources.The server system are placed in data center room,which is unify managed and configured by professional network equipment management. In order to solve the disadvantages of the old and backward management model of the artificial room.After conducting detailed background research and technical research.This paper puts forward the idea of applying information technology to the construction of computer room. We plan to develop a computer room environment and power monitoring system for electric power system.In this paper, We firstly investigate the development of domestic and international internet of things and computer room monitoring system.Then, we use the internet of things technology to achieve the temperature and humidity and power supply data acquisition.Data is transmitted to the system through the wireless transmission technology. We study the development of the mature web based front-end technology. Finally, we decided to take the combination of JavaScript and Html5 means, and at the same time with the use of SQL Server2008 as the system's database technology, in order to achieve the main development of the system. According to the functional requirement of the users, the system is divided into data acquisition module, power monitoring and management module, environmental monitoring and management module, alarm management module and statistical analysis module. First of all, we use technical analysis means to achieve detailed design of each module. Then we use the programming technology to realize the system. The system has been tested in the actual use of the power system to verify the practicability of the system. The system can monitor and manage the power system and environment system, and bring the following help for the data room administrators.1) Administrator can use the system to query and monitor equipment parameters and status;2) Administrator can quickly go to the computer room to deal with the fault;3) Administrator can inquire the running state of the computer room through the statistical analysis module;4) Administrato can track the work of the staff room by camera monitoring,and improve the efficiency of employees.
