Smart phones play a more and more important role in all aspects of people's lives. Meanwhile, Android operating system gradually occupies the dominant position of the smart phone market due to its mobility, strong computing power and a variety of communications capabilities. Although the existing smart devices or applications on the smart devices provide users with a variety of file transfer methods, there are still some problems,such as: the need to install third-party software, rely on third-party servers,do not provide automated operation, lack of security and hidden protection and so on. The user may also need the system-level automatic file transfer function in some specific situations to transfer files to other devices automatically according to a pre-configured strategy. And these are not available in the existing smart devices. In order to address these problems,this thesis designs and implements the file auto-forwarding system based on Android platform. Through the modification of Android kernel, the Android system has the function of auto-forwarding files according to the configuration to meet the needs of specific users.This thesis first elaborates the architecture of the file auto-forwarding system based on Android platform. The system is divided into two ends.One end is for the receiver of file transfer. One end is for the sender of file transfer. File transfer receiver can automatically open WiFi hotspots, open the service of receiving files, automatically receive files, and write files to the hidden area. File transfer sender can automatically connect to the specified WiFi hotspot, open the service of transferring files and transfer the specified folder of file to the file transfer receiver automatically. The entire process of file transferring will be automatically hidden. The final implementation of the file auto-forwarding system will be fully ported to the bottom of the Android system and it is hard to be decompiled out.Then, the thesis elaborates the design and implementation of each module of the system.Finally, a prototype system based on Android platform is implemented, and two sets of ROMs are compiled under Linux environment. One ROM is for the end of the file transfer receiver, the other is for the end of the file transfer sender. And the ROM will be installed in two real machine. After the success of the installation, we use real machine on the system to perform the functional test. The results of the experiment show that the file auto-forwarding system based on Android platform users.designed and implemented in this thesis can run well and meet the needs of specific users.
