| With the development of network technique as well as the upgrade of mobile terminals,video streaming service is playing a more important role in all the web services.More and more users choose to watch video through wireless network.As a novel streaming transmission solution,Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP attracts a lot of attention.Currently,DASH clients estimate the available bandwidth with previous throughput,which could be insensitive and is also difficult to be adopted under complicated wireless network.In order to solve this problem,a new cross-layer DASH solution is proposed.This paper made a study on service structure,cross-layer algorithm,performance evaluation and the user experience of network assisted DASH.Two simulation platforms was established and the cross-layer moving mean algorithm was put forward to estimate the bandwidth and select appropriate video bit rate,which could improve the overall performance of video service.Besides,a QoE model was proposed by subjective test to evaluate the user experience of network assisted DASH. |
