With the continuous development of the Internet and social networking,exchanges among people have been gradually broken through time and geographical constraints.Social networking has become an important means of communication in the network era,and profoundly changes people's daily life.In early 2014,with the rise of anonymous social software represented by Secret and Wumii,an anonymous social application based on the original social relations chain,namely,an intermediate product between acquaintance social software like Wechat and stranger social software like Momo has gradually gained in popularity.Based on Dramaturgy and related theories,by means of questionnaire survey,in-depth interview and content analysis,this thesis analyzes and records the important courses in the development of anonymous social software,so as to explain and verify the new characteristics of self-presentation and interpersonal communication in the anonymous social networking.The study found that there are external and internal reasons that can explain self-presentation existed in anonymous social networking.The external one refers to the free anonymous environment and diversified stimulating information while the internal one contains the users' needs of socialization,the desire of prying into privacy and emotional expression.The self-presentation in the anonymous social networking has showed several new features as follows:It is more focused on self-disclosure;there is contradiction existed in personal role play;and the emotion conveyed through self-presentation tends to be negative.As a result,It directly causes a weaker demand of users for interpersonal communication and ineffective personal images building and thus unsustainable communication process,which is the root cause of decline of the anonymous social software.
