The widespread use of the Internet of Things makes the wireless sensor network once again into the people's vision. Wireless sensor networks have been a hot research area for wireless network communications. As the current energy technology can not meet the requirements of people, making the wireless sensor network is still subject to energy constraints, so the wireless sensor network energy optimization has always been an important direction in the field of wireless sensor networks. As the Internet of Things further develops, increasingly number of wireless sensor networks are deployed and play the role of monitor. Existing LEACH, HEED and PEGASIS protocols have been unable to meet the use of wireless sensor networks. How to use energy technology to achieve a major breakthrough in the use of a more effective way, improving the energy utility ratio as much as possible and further extend the life cycle of wireless sensor networks, is now what all scholars pursue. In this paper, the improved protocol PECLCC is proposed for the problem of node death, which is easy to produce long chain and nonuniform energy consumption. This protocol divides a wireless sensor network into several levels according to the distance between the node and the base station. Each layer of information is merged. At the same time, several key nodes are selected on each layer, and several layers are connected to form a critical path. Layer data is sent to the base station via a critical path. This paper selected PEGASIS, PECLCC, using NS-3 to build a simulation experiment environment. The same experimental parameters were selected, and the level of PECLCC was set to 4, and the number of surviving nodes after a number of rounds, the residual energy of nodes on average, and the number of surviving nodes after several rounds were evaluated for PECLCC.
