With the continuous development of society and the continuous improvement of living standards,the smart home industry has also been rapid development.However,the problems of poor interactive experience and operation cumbersome for users from a variety of devices functions have become more obviously.Compared to the traditional human-computer interaction(HCI)system using the mouse,keyboard and other operations,the simpler,more natural and humanized gesture recognition technology is playing an important role.To solve the problems of complex operations,users can not interact with the machine through a natural way and then lead to the poor experience etc,in the current smart home system,in this paper,the Kinect-based gesture recognition technology was toke into the designed smart home human-computer interaction system.The Kinect sensor was used to collect the depth information of the human body image and get the skeleton data.Then,the gesture recognition algorithms based on semantic recognition,hidden Markov model,dynamic time warping(DTW)and weighted dynamic time warping(w DTW)were researched.Simultaneously,the template matching gesture recognition algorithms based on weighted dynamic time warping was utilized to extract the features of the pre-defined gesture actions.The results of actual gesture recognition experiments show that the algorithm used in this paper is feasible and effective.The best identification distance is in range of 2-2.5m in front of Kinect and the highest recognition accuracy is reach on 98%.In addition,the management process and system hardware module of smart home system were researched.Simultaneously,the hardware circuit and the corresponding module software were designed,the transmission of the gesture control instruction was realized by using the Zig Bee technology.In this paper,the four gesture recognition algorithms based on Kinect were researched and the w DTW algorithm was employed to implement the extract the features of the pre-defined gesture actions.Finally,the programming language of C#.NET was utilized to realize the Kinect-based gesture recognition HCI system;Next,the circuit design of the hardware modules of the smart home system and the corresponding software functions were mainly focused on.Then,the protocols of RS-485,I2 C bus,CAN bus and Zig Bee were understood and applied to control the hardware module circuits of the smart home system.
