With the great improvement of transportation conditions, the continuous enhancement of the transport vehicles and the adjustment of operational mechanism and pattern, the transportation market has made great progress during recent years. In the meanwhile, the conflicts in passenger transportation market are more obvious than before, especially the problems between the transportation capacity and transportation volume. However, the existing system of passenger transportation management is often lack of the function of forecasting passenger flow volume. To address this problem, this paper researches the prediction model and prediction methods of passenger flow volume, and designs and realizes the system that supports the prediction in passenger transportation management.Firstly,the dissertation studies the current situation of information construction in passenger transportation at home and abroad.Secondly, the prediction method of passenger flow volume of road passenger transport management based on time sequence and gray model is proposed to predict the passenger flow volume. This paper analyses the establised method of the passenger flow volume model and its prediction progress in detail, and proves the feasibility and effectiveness of the method through experiments. This prediction model establishes a firm foundation for improving the current passenger transport management system.Thirdly, we have conducted the requirement analysis and feasibility study, and accomplished the system design of the passenger transportation management system software.We strongly illuminate the key issues in the system design, including structural design of system functions, flow chart design, database design, etc.Finally, the dissertation elaborates the realization of the prediction supported system in passenger transportation management information and GUI, and offers typical application interface and application effect of the system. The system provides a solution to the problem of predicting passenger flow peak, which exists in the current system.This paper provides a prediction model about passenger flow volumn, and designs and realizes a passenger transport management system supporting prediction of passenger flow volumn. It offers a solution to the problem of prediction of passenger flow volumn in the peak that have not solved in the current system.
