With the continuous exploration and the scientific research of the marine environment,autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV)and remote operated vehicle(ROV)have made rapid progress and development.Remote operated vehicle is widely used in many fields,such as seabed exploration,offshore oil exploration,submarine engineering monitoring,military field,offshore aquaculture,etc.ROV has the advantages of strong endurance,high load capacity,high efficiency and so on.But it also has many problems such as cable winding and close continuous monitoring of staff.This paper combined ROV with 3G network in order to solve the problem of continuous monitoring of staff,designed and realized ROV remote control system based on 3G network in the mean time.It makes ROV more convenient in the field of offshore control working.This paper did research based on Open ROV which is a small open source of ROV.Firstly,we introduced the hardware structure and software architecture of Open ROV underwater robot platform.Then realized a ROV remote control system based on 3G network on the platform of Open ROV.The remote control system is mainly divided into two parts,which are the realization of ROV communication system and the ROV data acquisition module.Through the research of ROV system we designed and implemented a 3G remote communication system by using 3G SIM card.The purpose of building the system is to solve two technical problems of 3G network remote control of ROV,which are the design of ROV3 G communication module and dynamic DNS.We designed the 3G communication module bu using 3G router and Raspberry Pie.,and the dynamic DNS is implemented by UDP protocol.3G remote communication system is the basic condition to realize the remote control of ROV.In addition,this paper also updates the ROV data acquisition module.First,this paper designed a temperature data acquisition module in the cabin by taking advantage of TMP36 temperature sensor and Beagle Bone Black,and designed a depth data acquisition module by using MS5803-14 BA pressure sensor and Arduino Open ROV Controller control2.8 of ROV.The temperature data acquisition module used the method of r calculation of the temperature data acquisition of analog signal.The sensor directly interacts with the control module,and the depth data acquisition module uses the method of collecting digital signal to calculate the depth data.So it's possible to realize the collection of underwater temperature data and water depth data,on the basis of the update design of ROV data acquisition module.Finally the ROV remote control system is realized by improving the function of ROV communication system and ROV data acquisition module based on 3G network.
