With the development of our country's economy,the need for power equipment is increasing.Because of the transmission lines are widely distributed,the scope of inspection is wide and complex,making the unmanned aerial vehicle gradually gained popularity in the inspection.At present,the uav aerial image processing and recognition methods have preliminary development,but the key components of defect detection is mainly rely on artificial to complete.It doesn't adapt to a large number of data processing work.In this paper,the main job is to locate an insulator in aerial images,and intelligent detecting whether its abnormal.This method saves the time cost from artificial detection.Aerial images are affected by brightness,shooting Angle,the stability of the airplane and other external environmental factors.It makes the image background very complex,at the same time,most of the image background is green trees.It is extremely similar to the color of the glass insulator,what makes complicated to distinguish.In order to solve the defect detection problem under the background of insulator,this paper proposes an adaptive blew detection method.The method uses the 3d model of tower to locates insulator.It adds a dimension of information than the commonly image processing method.The method also achieve accurate positioning the insulator with small area,at the same time,decrse the time consumption.In the part of blew defect detection,we make separation of foreground and background,with only insulator left in the picture.And then,make vertical and denoising as pretreatment,reduce the interference of defect detection.Then put the insulator's own sheer as a template,slide down to test every piece of insulator's matching degree.Ddisplay the abnormal part and identified it as the location of the blew insulator piece.In order to verify the feasibility of the experiment,we adopt the 3d model and the tower under the complex background to match.The image contains many blew insulator for testing.The results show that this method can be a very good registration of 3d model and the tower in test picture,and locate the insulator,show the blew position of insulator.This method has good accuracy and robustness.
