Now location-based services play an increasingly important role in the various fields and promote the development of various technologies.And therefore the demand for outdoor navigation services and indoor location and tracking technology is more and more obvious.Usually,however,due to the outdoor environment with little obstacles blocking the signal to the satellite system,so satellite-based navigation and positioning system technology can easily provide good and accurate navigation and positioning services.But,with technology development and life's advances,people's life and work was largely restricted to indoor environmental conditions,such as office buildings,libraries and museums.And some special circumstances,such as disasters of mine,fire emergency scenes,investigated explorations of unknown area,a satellite-based navigation and positioning technology often cannot meet these far-ranging need of applications.However,It can be used to analyze the gait characteristics of various wireless sensor signals and calculate the direction and distance of the personnel.According to the principle of the inertial navigation system of the pedestrian dead reckoning technology and related to the problem,this paper on the following contents were studied in detail:(1).In order to analyze and identify the acquisition and motion of the inertial sensor,the inertial measurement unit is placed in the body of the human body,such as the waist,tibia and toes for data collection.(2).The main signal parameters,such as the acceleration and the angular velocity,are analyzed and processed for the detection of step.(3).Secondly,by using the acceleration signal,the continuous gait process can be divided into multiple single steps,and and the velocity is obtained by the accumlation of acceleration.Then the length of step is obtained by accumlating the velocity secondly,and the distance can be get by the superpositions of these step length.(4).At last,this paper makes some researches on the direction of people,and puts forward the methodologies on solution of four elements and the direction calculation based on angular velocity.Based on the experimental results,the parameters of the algorithm are selected and the corresponding experimental results are analyzed.
