Software-defined wireless network(SDWN)is a new wireless network architecture,it applied the idea of software-defined network(SDN)in wireless network,SDWN decouples data plane and control plane of wireless network,opens up wireless network programmable interface,simplifying the management of wireless network.When researchers study the technology and application of SDWN,they need to continue deploying,running,testing and improving the new protocol,algorithm,and application.In this moment,a SDWN experiment platform is particularly important.Currently,only a few experimental simulation and emulation experimental platforms of limited scale support SDWN experiment,so the main work of this paper is to provide a user-friendly and scalable SDWN experiment emulation platform for researchers.Through studying the latest research results of network testbed and related SDWN experiment platform,firstly,this paper analyzes the performance bottleneck of the original experimental platform;Secondly,extends the original platform to span an emulated network over several physical machines on the basis of the network testbed;Thirdly,this paper implements the basic environment automatic configuration of the platform,add a graphical topology script generation tool,and introduces testing tools applying in analyzing experimental results in SDWN experiment.This user-friendly designs reduce users to do the complex hardware and software configuration and do not need to be familiar with a variety of programming languages,for another user can conveniently analyze the experimental results;At last,this paper defines the whole process of SDWN experiment from the view of an experimenter.This paper designs some targeted experimental to evaluate the SDWN experimental platform,including evaluating the functionality and performance of the platform,experimental types may support in the actual research and the unique scene in the wireless network.The experimental results show that the platform designed in this paper can correctly and effectively emulate the SDWN experiments,and has good performance.
