With the development of science and technology,the detection of weak targets on the sea surface has become the focus of military construction and ship rescue.The sea clutter is formed by the radar scattering echo from the surface of the sea,it will affect the positioning and detection of the radar in the iceberg,oil tanker and other weak targets on the sea.Therefore,has very important significance to research on sea clutter characteristics of radar echo signal and detect the weak target sea.And put forward the application of fractal theory is a major breakthrough in the current target detection,it broke the traditional based on statistical characteristics and detection method based on chaotic characteristics of the target,in particular has been applied and developed well in the modeling of sea clutter and weak target detection.This paper focuses on the research on how to use the basic theory of fractal sea clutter processing and weak target detection,in order to make the combination of theory and experiment.The efficiency of each fractal method in detecting targets is verified by the measured data of IPIX radar sea clutter.The main contents of this paper are as follows.Firstly,the basic theory of fractal is introduced,including the definition and solution of Hausdorff measure and dimension,measured sea clutter data and multifractal.The fractal properties of the measured sea clutter data are verified by using the Hurst fractal index of the wavelet transform.In this paper,the detection of weak targets on sea surface based on the difference of time domain Hurst exponent and the detection of weak targets based on the difference of time domain space Hurst exponents are studied,and the two detection algorithms are compared and analyzed.Then the multi fractal detrended moving average method is introduced(MFDMA),then the multifractal characteristics of sea clutter are verified.On the basis of the above mentioned,multifractal forward moving average method,multifractal backward moving average method and multifractal moving average method three algorithms for target detection.The target detection results of three algorithms are compared.The results show that the MFCDMA algorithm is the best.
