With the development of the technology and social economy,the demand for positioning is no longer limited to outdoors,there is also an increasing demand for indoor positioning.Recently,the technology of indoor positioning based on visible light communication(VLC)has become a research focus owing to its advantages of green communication method,low price and long life device,and no electromagnetic radiation.The thesis proposes the design scheme of VLC-based indoor positioning,and an experimental platform is built for implementing the scheme.The least square method is used to position the mobile target in this paper,and the Kalman filter is used to optimize the results of the least square method.The main works of this paper are as follows:(1)Introduce the background and significance of this research subject.Discuss the domestic and overseas research status of the VLC-based indoor positioning.This paper also presents the advantages of VLC-based indoor positioning compared with the traditional methods of indoor positioning.(2)Compare the different methods of VLC-based indoor positioning,and choose the method based on received signal strength indicator as the positioning method.Design the positioning hardware platform.Propose the positioning scheme and introduce the software development tools used in the development of the platform in detail.(3)Give the empirical equation to obtain the relationship between the distance and the RSSI value,and introduce the process of the empirical equation's building in detail.On the basis of the empirical equation,the least square method is proposed to estimate the positions of the mobile target.Then the Kalaman filter is used for optimizing the positioning result obtained by the least square method.(4)Elaborate the components of the hardware platform.Explain how the programs implement the indoor positioning platform.The programs introduced in this section include the upper-computer software,the software of the FPGA of the transmitter,the software of the FPGA of the receiver,and the software of the show interface for displaying the positioning results.And some important modules in the software are discussed in detail.(5)Test the experimental platform,use the platform to position a mobile target.Then compare the positioning results obtained by the least square method and the Kalman filter.It can be proved that the preceding positioning scheme is reasonable,and the mobile target can be located accurately.(6)The research work in this paper is summarized and the prospects of future research work are given.
