With the advent of the information age people's growing demand for communications more and more obvious,optical fiber communication with an alarming rate of development.In order to meet the high-speed development of optical fiber communication and meet the market demand for high gain and low noise performance of erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA),a high gain forward pumped erbium-doped fiber amplification system is designed and fabricated.The system uses a single-pump bipolar amplification of the amplification structure,to pump the pump forward mode to amplify the signal light.(EDF)length to achieve the highest gain to complete the optical path of the system design,and ultimately form a complete erbium-doped fiber amplifier.In this paper,we first design a pumped-bipolar amplification system with Erbium-doped fiber amplification system based on several kinds of pump and optical structure,and then use optical software optisystem to simulate the system.EDF concentration,pump power and so on,when the ratio of different EDF length to determine the optimal ratio of EDF length ratio;and then use of fiber welding machine,optical fiber cutting knife and other tools to build systems;Finally,single-pumped bipolar amplification system The experiment and verification of the related optical experiments,including the first-level EDF length verification experiment,the second EDF length verification experiment,the system gain curve and noise figure measurement.The experimental results show that the EDF length of the first-order EDF is 2 m,the second-order EDF is 2 m and the power is 0.1 mW,the pump power is 600 mW and the erbium ion concentration is 6.9 e + 24 / Length of 10 meters,then the system's highest gain can reach 33.345 dB,then the noise figure is 2.4098 dB.The unique work of this paper includes:1.A pump-pumped single-pumped bipolar erbium-doped fiber amplification system is designed by using common pumping mode and optical path diagram in this field.The system uses 600 mw laser pump source and common optical devices,Has a strong practicality.2.According to the requirement of EDFA in WDM system,the system is simulated by optisystem.Under EDF concentration and pump power,the optimum ratio of EDP fiber length is determined.High gain and low noise figure.3.Considering the cost and performance requirements of the system,the combination of single pump and multiple optical devices has lower cost,high pump efficiency and broad market prospect.Compared with common EDFA in this field,this system has the characteristics of high gain,low noise and low cost,and achieves the middle and high level products in the market.The designed single pumped bipolar erbium doped fiber amplification system has a broad market prospect,Of the practical value.
