Optoelectronic tracking system was widely used in military areas as the main means of target tracking with radar.In civilian areas,it was used to search,track and monitor the moving target in the border stations,ocean surveillance ship and airport for security,search,rescue,law enforcement and accident analysis.Firstly,the development and current situation of optoelectronic tracking system were introduced and then the implementation methods to keeping clarity and stability of target image were analyzed.Automatic focusing method and zooming method were proposed and also the dynamic focus window establishing method based on gradient energy function.Secondly,the control hardware of system was designed based on the design plan and algorithm analysis with controling board and video processing board.Real-time operating system was utilized on control board to achieve remote automatic focusing and zooming.Verilog hardware description language was used on video processing board to acquire video data,decode video,displaying,and evaluate the clarity.Finally,the designed hardware and algorithm were verified.Experimental results show that the algorithm of dynamic focusing window is effective.The algorithm can build focus window and acquire clarity evaluation result successfully with the help of gradient energy function.The function of control board and video processing board was tested as well.Finally,this paper designed the lens focal length calibration method based on image,realized the real time measuring of the lens focal length.
