This paper studies human-computer interaction technology such as gesture interaction and hand-held interaction for virtual fitness with combination of virtual reality technology and fitness.Besides,it develops a virtual treadmill system by example of running fitness.Specific research work includes the following aspects:1)A technique of natural gesture interaction of non-interruption in process of movement is proposed.This paper designs a dynamic interaction model based on Kinect and the algorithm to realize this interaction model for the demand that interaction in process of movement cannot interrupt the movement itself.It can achieve the interaction with objects in virtual three-dimensional scene by dividing gestures that fit the movement of human body.The experimental results show that the technique can adapt to the complex movements of the gestures without interrupting the running and obtain a good effect in interaction.2)A virtual motion triggering interactive technology based on direction sensor is proposed.For the traditional fitness equipment(such as treadmills)can not trigger jumping,turning and other sports problems,this paper puts forward a very convenient way to trigger the virtual movement.Based on direction sensor in mobile phone,the method calculates the mapping between sensor data and coordinates in the projection screen in real time.Users in motion only need to hold and swing a mobile phone so that they can trigger the movement during the process of fitness.3)This paper designs and implements a set of virtual fitness system by example of virtual treadmill in order to test the effectiveness of above-mentioned related interactive technology.In this paper,two methods of OSG and Unity3 D are respectively used to create and draw 3D scene in virtual environment.Tests in devices of Oculus Rift virtual helmet and large-screen projection have reached a good interactive experience of fitness.
