The term terahertz(THz)wave is used to define the electromagnetic waves frequency from 0.1 to 10THz.The photon in such frequency band is of relative low energy level,which will not bring about ionization effect on the bio molecules.In addition,the vibration and spinning energy are also within the terahertz spectrum.Therefore in recent years,terahertz technology has played a more and more important role in the fields of biology and medicine.The terahertz time-domain spectroscopy(TDS)is based on the ultra-short terahertz pulses.Such technology is built on the theory of the coherence of the detection of the wave coherence.By measuring the phase and magnitude of terahertz waves,the absorbance and diffraction coefficient of the measured samples can be obtained.This technology has become an important technical approach in the terahertz science.This essay introduces the basic background of the terahertz waves and the THz-TDS technology and the extraction of the sample parameters.In addition,we study the drug eutectic and the terahertz sensor which is able to provide real time monitor on the biological cells.The exploration and expedition of the drug eutectic can offer great conveniences to the combination of new drugs.A selection basis is provided for the deter ?? ation of the optimum drug solids.We use THz-TDS technology measure the pharmaceutical reagent barbitone and benzoic acid,malonic acid,succinic acid,glutaric acid of THz spectrum,and analyzed their features in THz wave band.Specifically,barbitone and benzoic acid was studied at room temperature,malonic acid,succinic acid,glutaric acid eutectic,according to the map,found that THz-TDS has obvious change,and combined with XRD and ir,prove its eutectic successfully.Speculated that the pentobarbital combined with several acid when possible hydrogen bonding patterns,use GaussView 5.0 software,will draw its structure respectively,then draw the structure of the imported Gaussian09 software,using the theory of DFT semi-empirical,B3LYP method,6-311g(d,p)basis set,calculated the map of eutectic theory and according to the comparison with the actual measurement map,can understand the eutectic intermolecular action.The terahertz metamaterial sensor has a very promising utilization aspect.Due to the problems and shortcomings existed in the current monitoring technology,we study and design a new type of terahertz sensor which can offer real time and high sensitivity monitoring of biological cells and conduct non-disruptive monitoring on the dynamic process of cells.In that way,we can learn the mechanisms of cell behaviors and provide proofs on the prevention and monitor of diseases.Such a new type of sensor can realize high sensitivity in the terahertz region.
