With the development of wireless communication technology,more and more wireless network products led to the wireless spectrum becomes increasingly scarce.Traditional spectrum allocation mechanisms resulting in inefficient Spectrum utilization rate and licensed spectrum hole.As a kind of intelligent communication system,cognitive radio allowed cognitive devices access to the free channels through perceiving external communication environment,improving the spectrum utilization and communication performance.The main research contents of cognitive radio included how to effectively use spectrum holes and make the network efficient.These functions were realized through MAC layer.This thesis mainly studied cognitive network multi-channel MAC protocol and simulation platform design.The multi-channel MAC protocol provided a solution for cognitive network spectrum sharing.This thesis first introduced the concept and characteristics of cognitive ad hoc network and analyzed the related technologies of cognitive network MAC layer.Illustrating the important role of MAC layer in cognitive ad hoc network.Finally,the traditional wireless multi-channel MAC protocol interaction was classified,and the differences of all kind protocols was compared and analyzed.Through the analysis of the existing multi-channel MAC protocol,the research direction of this thesis was further proposed.In order to overcome the shortcomings of traditional multi-channel MAC protocol interaction,this thesis proposed a new cognitive multi-channel MAC protocol based on control channel division for distributed cognitive ad hoc network.The specific system model and design flow of this protocol were analyzed.The MAC protocol mechanism was proposed in this thesis,which can solve the problem of channel deafness in traditional grouped multi-channel protocol.And this protocol can avoid the control channel bottleneck problem in the dedicated control channel protocol.Finally,simulation study was made to the new cognitive multi-channel MAC protocol with NS-3 software while the performance of the method was analyzed and verified.
