Network coding is applied from the wired network to the wireless network,it has been proven to be effective in improving data transmission efficiency and throughput.Wireless multi-hop network,represented by Ad Hoc,a wireless self-organizing network,is widely researched and applied because of its survivability,flexible and fast access.Researchers have proposed a variety of routing protocols for multi-hop wireless networks based on network-coding.A successful network code cooperation can bring performance gains,but the traditional routing protocol can only make use of the existing coding opportunities,which can not give full play to the advantages of network coding.Cdoing-aware routing protocol by changing the distribution of routes,can take the initiative to explore the use of potential coding opportunities in the network to further improve network performance.Howerver,the existing coding-aware routing protocols only allow the original packets to be coded,ignoring the potential coding gain for encoding packets.At the same time,the network coding environment exacerbates the influence of the hidden terminal,the original IEEE 802.11 protocol can not effectively adapt to the new features brought by the network coding.In order to solve the above problems,this paper has done the following research work:First,for the existing coding-aware routing protocol in general only consider the original packet and ignore the coding opportunities in coded packets,we proposed a step-by-step coding-aware routing protocol.The SCAR redesigned the wireless network routing process,message format,coding condition and routing metrics.Based on the theoretical analysis and simulation,it is proved that compared with the classical distributed coding-aware routing protocol,the coding opportunity is increased by 20% and the network throughput is improved by 18%.The second is that we analyze the influence of hidden terminal on network coding performance under network coding.Proposed to solve the problem of the two main ideas,one is to improve the reliability of pseudo-broadcast,to avoid the package can not accept the encode package and can not be decoded;the second is to enhance the opportunity listenning to avoid the lack of the original package in decoding.Then we designed and modified the MAC protocol for the above two issues,and proposed a MAC reliable coding-aware routing protocol.The RM-SCAR used multiple RTS / CTS mechanisms to guarantee the reliability of the pseudo-broadcast and listening processes,reducing interference and retransmission.Finally,the simulation results show that the decoding rate is improved by 16%.
