The surface reconstruction of target objects is an important part of modeling technique.It has widely used in medical science,industry,and geological exploration,etc.For the spatial scatter based surface reconstruction method,it can be summarized as three main steps: grid construction,characteristics extracting and surface smoothing.Thanks to the researchers' unremitting efforts in the relevant areas these years,many efficient and rigorous algorithms and ideas have been put into practice.However,these methods are still inadequate,although these methods are very versatile,but the lack of pertinence.In the case of some unsatisfactory special data,it is difficult to get the desired results.These methods are lack of operability and do not allow the user to subjectively intervene in the process.The surface smoothing methods either get a poor result or wipe out the characteristics of the surface.In this thesis,the surface reconstruction of the target surface is studied,the grid construction,characteristics extraction and surface smoothing of elevation model are deeply explored,a new surface reconstruction method is proposed.The innovation of this thesis mainly includes:1.This thesis summarizes the shortcomings of the traditional characteristics extraction methods of elevation model.To solve these problems,the author introduces a characteristics extraction method based on curvature,and proposes an algorithm to fuse characteristics.This algorithm can reduce feature fragmentation and extract more complete characteristics information.2.Traditional surface smoothing method will change the surface characteristics.On the basis of the extracted characteristics,the surface smoothing method based on the partial differential equation can not only preserve the original surface characteristics,but also make the smoothness of the surface reach the required smooth level.In conclusion,this thesis has improved and implemented the elevation model surface reconstruction methods in the field of surface reconstruction.This thesis improves the process of surface interpolation,so that the result of the surface interpolation is closer to the trend of the original surface.The algorithm of characteristics extraction is improved,so result of characteristics extraction is more comprehensive.The surface smoothingmethod based on partial differential equation is combined with the characteristics extraction to improve the smoothness of the surface and gets a better result.
