Semantic annotation plays an important role for the semantic-aware Web service applications.It has been proved to be an effective solution for the service discovery,recommendation and composition in many different disciplines.Many approaches and tools have been developed to facilitate the semantic annotation task,generating a lot of semantic annotation result.However,such annotation can only be of value if semantic annotations accurately reflect web services' semantics,while this is frequently not the case.But the verification for the Quality of Semantic Web Service Annotation is largely overlooked.Thus,the quality of semantic annotation will significantly affect the effectiveness of the semantic annotation solutions.Moreover,its improvement is depended on the manual effort which is extremely time-consuming and requires significant domain knowledge.So how to verify and optimize the quality of semantic annotation becomes a critical and fundamental issue for the semantic web service ecosystem.In this paper,we present a novel lifecycle framework aiming at semi-automatically assessing and optimizing the QoSA,including annotating Web service,assessment of annotation quality,optimization of annotation quality and annotation application.Specially,we researched and realized assessment and optimization of semantic annotation quality.And during the semantic annotation quality assessment,we constructed a local instance repository based on which we presented three feedback-base strategies to semi-automatically improve the quality of semantic annotation.The experiments based on a collection of annotations for real-world web services shows that our framework not only verifying quality of Web service annotation but also effectively improve the quality of semantic annotation.
