Remote sensing image fusion is a process of removing the redundant information of two or more remote sensing images by a certain algorithm while preserving the complementary information of the source images and concentrating on the same new image.With the rapid development of remote sensing technology,remote sensing image fusion technology also has a great improvement,so the fusion effect has also greatly improved.In order to achieve better image fusion effect,A remote sensing image fusion algorithm based on improved bidimentioal empirical mode decomposition is proposed combined with IHS transform and (?) trous wavelet transform,which not only preserves the spectral information of images but also enhances the expressive ability of image texture details.The main research work and innovation of this paper are as follows:1.The background and significance of remote sensing image fusion algorithm are expounded.The advantages and disadvantages of traditional image fusion algorithm are pointed out.The application of IHS transform and (?) trous wavelet transform in preprocessing of remote sensing image is mainly studied.2.The implement approaches of the empirical mode decomposition are analyzed,and the key problems are pointed out.3.In this dissertation,an improved empirical mode decomposition algorithm to improve upper and lower envelope surfaces reconstruction of images,the termination condition of the screening process and the fast decomposition algorithm,which avoids the problem of calculating huge coefficient matrix of the linear system and solving large linear systems equations,reduces the amount of computation,reduces the computational complexity,finishes the screening process more precisely and improve the rate of decomposition.4.This paper proposes a remote sensing image fusion algorithm based on improved empirical mode decomposition,and gives the concrete steps of fusion,and carries out a series of remote sensing image simulation experiments to prove the better fusion effect.The fusion image is analyzed from the qualitative subjective evaluation to the quantitative objective evaluation,which not only preserves the hyper-spectral information,but also enhances the spatial resolution,which improves the clarity of image and the expressive ability of texture detail.
