Autonomous Underwater Glider is a new type of underwater robot.Its power source is the net buoyancy of the sea water.It can slow down along the zigzag track in the sea wate relying on net buoyancy autonomous underwater glider.As it does not have thrust system,autonomous underwater glider is characterized by small noise,long endurance,sliding distance and so on.By installing various sensors,autonomous underwater glider in the marine data collection,military investigation,marine environment and resource monitoring plays a vital role.In this paper,a type of underwater glider autonomous underwater glider as the main research object by using the method of flight principle and fluid mechanics.Hydrodynamic performance of autonomous underwater glider was simulated and the variation law of flow field was explored.Specific research program is as follows:The basic operation principle of autonomous underwater glider is analyzed,force analysis is carried out,and a mathematical model is established by selecting suitable coordinate system,including the autonomous underwater glider kinematics equation,autonomous underwater glider maneuver equation,and solving governing equation.Secondly,according to the data of practical engineering structure,3D simulation model was established by using Solidworks software.The mesh of the autonomous underwater glider and fluid domain was divided,the boundary layer mesh is encrypted,and the corresponding boundary conditions are set according to their real motion states.In addition,based on the finite volume method,the numerical simulation of autonomous underwater glider at-10 degrees to 10 degrees angle of attack,0.25m/s to 1.25m/s speed was obtained.The curves of drag coefficient,lift coefficient and pitching moment with the attack angle are fitted.The velocity field,the pressure field and the turbulence intensity field at 0 degrees of attack are simulated and analyzed.Finally,according to the existing equipment for experimental study of drag on the glider,different speed resistance was obtained.Compared with experimental study and simulation results,the correctness of experimental study and simulation analysis was verified providing data for subsequent structural improvement and motion control.
