Since reform and opening-up, city owner, as an emerging social class, enlarges the quantity and consciousness of rights. Meanwhile, all kinds of social contradictions during the period of transition for activism prompted the owner groups frequently. But due to lack of contacting each other with external mobilization of medium, the owner obviously is reduced to absolute inferiority in the struggle, the new revolution spread, presented as the social media, is seen as a possibility the power of this dilemma by the scholars.With new media "empowerment" hypothesis, combined with contentious conflict theory, this study selects villas, heart shine,Rongqiao XinYuan, QuJiang mansion, the three cases to have a participatory observation and deeply interviews by the example of xi'an owners struggle in the process of using new media as the research object, focusing on a few questions:after new media becoming popular, whether to change the owner to the uprising of atomized individuals is difficult to trouble organizing media use? Whether it implements the new media "empowerment"?If it is not "empowerment", what is new media'role in the process of the dynamic?The study finds that in the whole process of xi'an owner protest action, new media is not throughout but a "timely come on stage".And compared with empowerment, new media is more to assume the function of connection, embodied in three aspects:The connection of physical level;The connection of recognition,psychological level; The connection of across communities and the region level.Paper contains five parts-the first part introduces the topic of introduction theoretical sources and background of the reason selected case studies, research questions and research methods; The second part outlines the overall situation and Xi'an owners protest statement three specific cases of rights event after development, single community activist group of owners'committee and xi'an across a community activist group between "bid committee of shanxi industry authority association", respectively corresponding to the two parts of contents; The third part is that the specific process of individual communities can be divided into four parts, "union", "identity" and "virtual organization", "external mobilization" describing and analyzing the media using in different stages;In the fourth part studies how the across communities struggle to fight through new media strategy, sympathy for the spread of emotions, and the diffusion mechanism in the new media in the process;The fifth part refines research conclusion.
