In electrical circuits,resistors,capacitors and inductors are the three basic components.Memristor,proposed by Leon Ong Chua in 1971 for the first time,was created by HP labs in 2008.Memristor is a new type of non-linear element and it is considered to be the fourth basic circuit element.It has drawn a great attention to itself.It is a great challenge to design circuits and do research on potential application of memristor,which could promote the development in non-linear circuits and chaotic encryption of memristor.In this context,the thesis mainly studies simulation of memristor model,chaotic circuit design based on memristor,chaotic characteristics and its application in image encryption and decryption.The main work is as follows1)Simulation of memristor modelBased on HP memristor,the charge controlled and magnetron controlled mathematical memristor model are established in this thesis.Memristor circuit characteristics are simulated by Simulink and Simscape model.According to experimental results,these two models are capable of exhibiting Memristor's characteristic and correctly emulating the memristor.2)Research on chaotic circuit based on memristorA new type of chaotic circuit based on memristor is designed;its attractor is simulated;its equilibrium point set is analyzed;its bifurcation diagram and Poincaré cross section is drawn.The dynamic characteristics of an existing chaotic circuit based on memristor are analyzed.From the experimental results we find that if the memristor is in parallel or in series with other circuit components such as resistor R,capacitor C or inductor L,it is possible to design a chaotic circuit based on the memristor.And circuit parameters and initial values are closely linked to circuit chaotic state.3)Research on the application of chaotic circuit based on memristor in image encryption and decryptionThe two chaotic circuits,which are the new type chaotic circuit is designed in this thesis and an existing chaotic circuit,are applied to both Grayscale image and color image encryption and decryption.The encryption and decryption schemes are divided into three steps: image segmentation,image scrambling and encryption of image pixel value.The encryption effect is analyzed by key sensitivity test,key space size,histogram and correlation.The experimental data shows that the proposed image encryption and decryption scheme has better performance.The research results above have been published in international academic conference.
