With the construction and development of information technology for many years,many commercial Banks for the construction of data center has formed the curing extension mode,that is specific to the project construction as the center,according to the application demand increases as the development of rhythm,as far as possible to maximize development,usually most independent configuration and platform structures,server and storage system.At the beginning of the development,the model is considered simple efficient and targeted,but in the long run,the ills of this model gradually emerged: system separatism,resource dispersion,huge investment,high energy consumption,inefficient management and so on.This paper is aimed at the above problems,combined with the actual situation of a bank to solve these chronic problems,through a detailed discussion of a commercial bank's current data center IT structure pain points,the formation of a systematic solution.This paper focuses on the upgrading of the production system through PowerVM virtualization technology.The core technology of PowerVM is mainly decomposed into the following six characteristics,because these advanced features guarantee the continuous stability of the upgraded production system.By using the following seventh SCE cloud computing platform technology for commercial bank development and testing environment upgrading,development and testing environment after transformation can achieve rapid and convenient deployment of applications is expected to meet the development goals,characteristics of the requirements of the test environment.1.Research micro-partition technology chip-level virtualization technology,can achieve 0.1 CPU units for the division of CPU resources,and 0.01 units to adjust the resources.Because the dynamic logic partition of the resource adjustment function allows the system administrator to freely add,delete or move between the partition system resources.As a result of the introduction of micro-partition technology,but also makes the dynamic logic partition resource adjustment function can not only allow physical resources to be moved,and virtual resources can also be moved,increase or decrease,Depending on the partition system load and the zoning business.characteristics,the IT administrator can dynamically allocate resources to the desired location at any time,greatly improving resource utilization and flexibility.2.Research virtual I/O server technology,VIOS to achieve Ethernet,SCSI and Fiber Channel disk sharing.Virtual I/O Server is used to provide virtual I/O resources for client partitions.As a result,the demand for legacy private network adapters,disk adapters,and disk drives will be eliminated by virtual I/O servers,resulting in cost reductions.3.Research Integration Virtualization Manager technology,IVM is to bring virtual technology to more low-end UNIX server users,to help them make full use of virtual technology to simplify system management and improve system efficiency,IVM is integrated virtualization manager.4.Research dynamic partition migration technology,LPM can be running in the logical partition at any time to move to a different physical server to run.Dynamic partitioning migration allows running Linux or AIX partitions,as well as various applications hosted on a partitioned system,from one physical server to another physical server,and without any interference to the underlying services.5.Research workload partitioning technology,workload partitioning(WPAR)technology is AIX provides a new software virtualization technology,which will make users and applications are isolated.It will not depend on the hardware features,AIX is a comprehensive reflection of a variety of core technologies.6.Research to implement dynamic application migration,the workload(rather than the entire partition)can be implemented online.Different servers are WPAR achieve the goal,of course,is more allowed on the same server to achieve the completion.It can make the load of the server to take over the heavy load on the server part of the business applications,in order to improve the performance of business applications.In the off-peak period the physical server is allowed to enter the sleep state,this effect is through the use of mobile work load to achieve,so as to help enterprises to save energy.7.Research Architecture Cloud computing management technology,IBM SmartCloud Entry(SCE)is the IBM infrastructure cloud computing management platform,can simplify the deployment,easy to use.It can work on the user's existing Power server infrastructure,so that data center managers through a simple interface,rapid deployment of virtual workloads self-service,thereby improving IT resource efficiency and reduce management costs.
