Due to the progress of the semiconductor industry and the popularity of small mobile terminals,the demand for commercial and personal data transmission rapidly transfers from wired to wireless.Wireless communication is facing bandwidth,high data rate and low latency challenges by emerging applications.The scarcity of the microwave band spectrum resources limits the growth of wireless communication system capacity.The unlicensed frequency band in the 60 GHz is suitable for the future indoor short-range broadband communication with the advantages of large bandwidth,high security and anti-interference,etc.In addition,the application environment of 60 GHz system requires the low power consumption and small volume.There is no doubt that reducing the baseband implementation must be considered.The main work of this paper is to study the low complexity of equalization algorithm in 60 GHz wireless communication system.In this paper,two kinds of low complexity equalization algorithms in single carrier communication system are introduced which are overlap-save equalization algorithm and overlap-cut equalization algorithm.The performance of two low complexity equalization algorithms in IEEE 802.11 ad standard channel with 128-point FFT/IFFT is also simulated in this paper.In the case of using 128-point FFT/IFFT,the performance of the two low complexity equalization algorithms degraded seriously.The author modifies the two equalization algorithms according to IEEE802.11 ad standard channel.The simulation result shows that the modified two low complexity equalization algorithms have achieved more than 1dB performance improvement.At the end of this paper,the implementation complexity of the two equalization algorithms have been compared.The conclusion is that overlap-cut equalization algorithm has lower implementation complexity.It is more suitable for the implementation of equalization algorithm in 60 GHz wireless communication system.
