Research On Singing Reality Shows Of China Under The Postmodernism

Postmodernism is a new cultural and social ideological trend,which is widely popular in 1960 s in the western countries.The basic standpoints of the spirit is emphasizing emotions,respecting differences and diversity, and paying attention to the dialogues. When postmodernism was introduced into China, China was in the period of transformation of economy and culture and there are many confrontations and associations among different ideologies and thoughts in the society.Then,postmodernism brought a new perspective of thinking for Chinese society.Therefore,many researchers have began successively review related social and academic problems on the basic of the theory of postmodernism.In this setting,many changes have taken place in Chinese singing reality shows.Therefore,the paper is aimed at mainly taking “The Voice Of China”(now renamed as “Sing! China”)as an example from the view of postmodernism to analyze Chinese singing reality shows.The paper firstly introduces the background,research significance, literature review and research methods of itself.Then,the paper mainly elaborates postmodernism's related concepts and characteristics.At the same time, the paper also defines the concept of singing reality show and discusses the development history of Chinese singing reality shows.The paper then takes “The Voice Of China”as an example from positive and negative aspects to interpret Chinese singing reality shows basing on the important characteristics of postmodernism. The paper points out the positive value of the “The Voice Of China” such as breaking rank, advocating variety,and paying attention to emotions and so on.It mainly also points out the negative factors of “The Voice Of China” such as compromising with consumerism, strong mass carnival, obvious copying characteristics and the lack of initiative,etc.“The Voice Of China”is a typical representative of Chinese singing reality shows.with the method of expressing the whole through details,from the advantages and the disadvantages of “The Voice Of China”,we can glimpse the advantages and disadvantages of the whole Chinese singing reality shows in postmodernism horizon.In the end,the paper puts forward several feasible and operational suggestions such as relevant administrative departments should strengthens supervision and TV stations are opposed to strengthening industry self-discipline.Besides, mass singing reality shows should improve the ability of innovation and high culture should make great efforts to promote themselves and guide the masses and so on.
