Multi-agent systems have been extensively applied in diverse fields and as a fundamental problem, consensus of the multi-agent systems has been attached great attention. On the other hand,a networked control system is a system whose components(including sensors, actuators, and controllers)are interconnected through a communication network.Compared with traditional control systems, networked control systems have many advantages such as less wiring, low installation and maintenance costs, high reliability, increased system flexibility, and easy re-configurability.However,the use of communication networks leads to several challenges like network-induced delays, packet dropouts and limited network resources. The use of the network in networked multi-agent systems makes the analysis and synthesis of the system more complex.Hence,it is of great significance to investigate the effect of network-induced delays on multi-agent systems both in theory and practice. The main contents of this thesis consist of the following two parts:First,we consider the consensus control for a class of networked multi-agent systems with network-induced delays under an event-triggered communication strategy.Based on the event-triggered strategy,a networked consensus control protocol under the influence of the network induced delays is proposed, which can ensure that the following-agent's states can reach an agreement on the leader's state.Using the proposed control protocol, the consensus of multi-agent systems can be transformed into the stability of an error system with multiple time-varying delays.A new delay-dependent stability criterion for the error system is derived by constructing a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional with the information of both the lower bound and the upper bound of multiple time-varying delays.Based on the stability criterion,a delay-dependent sufficient condition for the existence of the network-based consensus controller is formulated.A numerical example is given to shown that the designed result is valid in realizing a satisfactory control effect and decreasing the sampled-data transmission ratios.Second,we investigate the H? consensus filtering for a class of networked distributed linear systems with network-induced delays based on an event-triggered strategy.By employing an event-triggering scheme and proposing distributed Hx filters, the distributed networked filtering error system is modeled as an error system with multiple interval time-varying delays.A delay-dependent stability criterion and the consensus filter parameters are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities by employing the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach. It is numerically shown that the designed filter can achieve a prescribed H? performance. Finally,we summarize the research work of this paper and present several potential research issues in the future.
