In the transmission of video compression, the most important job is to organization, analysis, management and retrieval of video. Video shot detection has become a primary and important research direction. Research and analysis, this paper analysed the histogram comparison method(global threshold method), secondary frame differential method, the double threshold comparison method and the method based on edge character video shot detection methods such as. Put forward the current news video of a bottleneck problem, namely handle huge amounts of data, time video shot detection is too long, serious impact on the application and development of news video processing.In this paper, the analysis and research, on the basis of high performance cluster and parallel computing, parallel news video shot detection GT method is proposed based on cluster.
