With the continuous development of space technology, space combat is becoming an important part of modern warfare. Due to the high cost of space combat, simulation for space combat has become the main form of their research.Traditional simulations for combat are using simplified mathematical models,which lack unconvincing, are difficult to interact and have few data collection tools.And when using a general Agent-based simulation platform for space combat simulation, there will be problems about real time. Also, the general Agent-based modeling methods lack flexibility and is not suited to simulation for space combat, such as the modelling of satellites, missiles and other objects.The development of the existing Agent-based simulation technology and combat simulation technology is discussed as well as the abstract model Agent, the Agent platform, the life cycle of Agent and AUML are described. Then the problems of traditional Agent-based modeling methods and the existing shortcomings of time management mechanisms are pointed out. Different Agent platforms are simply compared and the JADE Agent platform used is introduced in detail.On the basis of finding shortcomings of existing simulation technology, we discuss the timeliness of Agent model, describes the time granularity and propose a new Agent model with time granularity characteristics as well as the time management mechanism under the real-time simulation and study the interaction between the new Agent model.The switch of the time granularity, the guarantee for timeliness and the mechanism of message interaction are also studied. The new model and mechanism are then applied to simulation of space combat in order to explain the modelling method as well as the message interaction.By expanding JADE, an Agent Platform, we realize the Agent Modeling with time granularity characteristics by expanding the Agent class. Also the time management mechanisms are improved to be applied to real-time simulation by modifying the Schedule.Finally, the new Agent model and time management mechanism are applied to the actual space combat scenarios for verifying, and shows the new model and the new mechanism perfectly suites for the space combat simulation. The aim of simulation and hardware performance directly determine the demand of switching time granularity.
