Research Of Automatic PCB Solder Joint Inspection System Based On Micro-focus X-ray

Automatic X-ray Inspection is a kind of automate inspection which is used in industry and electronics production. Especially in PCB soldering quality's inspection.In this paper, we mainly aims on the structure of micro-focus X-ray tube, image grabbing systems and inspection algorithms.Firstly we introduce the mainly structure of this PCB soldering auto inspection equipment. From the micro-focus X-ray tube, especially expound hair-pin style cathode and magnetic lens which is insure to achieve accurate inspection. Secondly we bring in multiple angle view CCD cameras and image intensifiers. By the structure reformation of micro-focus X-ray tube and unique image grabbing systems, revise the harmful influence on the quality of X-ray image and reduce the false-call rate.In this paper we choose FPGA as the image pre-processor. Taking advantage of Matlab script to completing imaging dispose. We designed various of processing patterns included histogram equalization,smooth filtering,Gauss filtering,contrast adjust based on character of X-ray photos. According to image binary transformation and set a threshold value, so the system could achieve the goal of auto-inspection.In the end, we make a summarize of whole design. Expound this design's rationality and originality. Looking into the distance of Automatic X-ray Inspection 's development tendency.
