Automatic control in the process of modern industrial production plays a very important role.Whether the large production line or the single and small equipment, automatic control can be used in saving the usage of the human resource.It can save energy and improve the product quality and the efficiency of the production line.Online glass coating equipment of the float glass production line is in the tin bath where is hyperthermal and closed.It has difficulty in realizing automatic monitoring, so which is in semi-automatic state at present. This article uses the modern high technology such as neural networks and digital image processing, has solved the problems of the coating equipment such as water-cooling protection,tracking,automatic positioning.In the end,with the help of virtual instruments,the overall design of monitoring system can be completed.Firstly, it introduces every hardware parts of the coating equipment monitoring and control system, including camera and image acquisition card, the data acquisition card, etc. By researching the interface of the domestic image acquisition card and designing graphics card driver, it will lay a good foundation for subsequent research.Secondly, combined with heat transfer theory, establishes the mathematical model of the heat transfer fluid system.Under certain temperature and pressure, each parameter of the heat transfer mathematical model is calculated. Wth the help of the application of the neural network prediction ability, the parameters of transfer mathematical model will be predicted and set. It can also provide data for the coating equipment water-cooling system and the minimum water flow control.Thirdly, on the basis of the theory of virtual instrument, with the aid of camera, image acquisition card, data acquisition card, such as temperature, pressure, flow sensors to complete the acquisition of key parameters of the monitoring system. It improves the image signal, filtering, edge detection and image calibration. Tracking and positioning of the coating equipment is based on the mean shift algorithm.Finally, the human-computer interaction interface is designed with the help of friendly interface characteristics of the virtual instrument. Coating equipment monitoring system is composed of multiple subsystems such as parameter monitoring system, coating cart positioning system, cooling fluid flow control system of the process, temperature monitoring system, video monitoring system, and data recording system. It can complete monitoring and control the various stages of the production process.
