With the rising popularity of wireless smart terminals and the diversification of applications development, network traffic presents huge growth. To meet the demand of promoting data transmission rate for users and the throughput of the network, mobile terminals start to develop in the direction of combination with a variety of wireless access technologies. Meanwhile, 5G tends to the evolution of densification and isomerization.Dense wireless network architecture is an important part of research in 5G. What the network architecture will be play a decisive role in available technologies and the network performance. 5G will carry so high capacity and a huge number of users that interference coordination in homogeneous network and the allocation of resources in heterogeneous network will become a major problem. Moreover, with a huge number of users accessing, backhaul link will gradually become bottlenecks of the network because of the limited bandwidth. Traditional access selection strategy ignoring limitation of backhaul link will bring serious problems. Since dense network may consist of overlapping networks, energy density will be bound to increase greatly, and the energy efficiency will be more and more important. How to promote energy efficiency of network also becomes a vital problem to be solved in the coming network architecture of 5G.In terms of the above problems in dense wireless network, firstly, this paper proposes a new kind of converged network architecture in heterogeneous networks based on cloud computing. The server uniformly managing and optimizing resource allocation in dense network, the architecture proposed in this paper greatly improves the performance of spectrum efficiency by advanced cloud-computing technology. Secondly, this paper designs a layered framework, which combines local transmission optimization of the single user and global transmission optimization of the whole network. Furthermore, by changing the network layer in the traditional protocol stack into virtual IP layer and self-defined sub-layer, a new kind of adaptive protocol stack is designed based on the proposed architecture, which realizes the integration of heterogeneous networks. Finally, on the basis of the architecture proposed in this paper, some of hotspot technologies are verified. In terms of access technology, this paper proposes an access selection strategy for users with QoS. Through the contrast simulation, it shows that the proposed access selection method can significantly improve the average transmission rate for users. In terms of the optimization technology of energy efficiency, with the collaboration of the base station, this paper proposes an energy efficiency optimization method based on the fact that users` host stations transparently transfer. Through the contrast simulation, it shows that the method can significantly improve the network energy efficiency.
