For the important of application value and broad application prospect, DOA(Direction of Arrival)is becoming a great component in the field of Array-Signal Theory. Due to the reason that electromagnetic waves cannot be transmitted smoothly in the underwater which contains diffirent kinds of impurities,we uses sound waves instead. Despite the different nature of the transmission signal used,in the theoretical level, they have no much diffirence between acoustic signal and electromagnetic waves to estimate the direction of signal. Now most DOA algorithms is found for the basic theory of MUSIC algorithm and ESPRIT algorithm which use the feature matrix decomposition method as the core,compared with the original Capon algorithm, the accuracy is higher.When the actual received signal DOA estimation, in order to make use of the reception signal in hardware,we need to use A/D converter converts the received analog signal into a digital signal, and then use hardware to compute the received signal, finally obtain estimation results. The paper work has two parts:First, we use hardware chip to develop several DOA estimation algorithm;second,we design the user interface, which display the DOA estimation result that after hardware-chip operation. In the hardware selection, since the actual incoming signal processing hardware multi-digital signal, and thus the use of paper-based TMS320C64 x DSP chip as the core development operator DOA estimation algorithm. In the user interface design of choice, selected in MATLAB GUI design features, not only because of its excellent user interface design features, but also because of its powerful hardware algorithm for computing capacity to facilitate the design process is carried out in an inspection certificate,and convenience of DSP/MATLAB interface enables data transfer with the DSP.On the development mode, in order to improve the efficiency of arithmetic operations in hardware, selected in the DSP development environment CCS directly code design.
