Thermal microscope imaging system can not only observe the detail of object shape, but also can observe temperature change details so that it plays an essential role in the field of micro thermal analysis needs. This paper is focus on the problem of low spatial resolution of the existing micro scanning thermal microscope imaging system and based on the principle of the micro scanning we put forward several methods to improve the system spatial resolution, which lay the solid foundation for the follow-up transition of the system.Firstly, several traditional image interpolation algorithms were analyzed, and the edge adaptive interpolation algorithm for image reconstruction was mainly studied. At the same time, the author combined micro scanning image features with image down sampling method and propose a down-sampled image reconstruction algorithm which is based on edge adaptive interpolation.Secondly, the actual micro-displacement obtained by the micro scanning system has inevitable errors due to the influence of mechanical vibration and other environmental factors. The errors of the actual displacement obtained by the micro scanning system can not be avoided. To forbid the optical scanning error to the greatest extent, based on standard 2×2 micro scanning principle, using Taylor series quadratic expansion principle, we propose an adaptive image acquisition and reconstruction theory with which we can obtain four standard 2×2 micro scanning images from non standard 2×2 micro scanning images and then a high resolution image reconstruction model was created.Finally, with the further study on micro scanning microscope thermal image processing algorithm, the micro scanning image preprocessing idea is explored. That is to say, pretreatment is performed for the micro scanning images by the adaptive acquisition and reconstruction theory, which is based on four non standard 2×2 micro scanning images to get the standard 2×2 micro scanning images, and then combined with a down sampling image reconstruction algorithm based on edge adaptive interpolation, an image reconstruction algorithm based on the micro scanning image preprocessing was proposed. Simulation and experiment results show that the image reconstruction effect with new algorithm is better than the single interpolation algorithm.In this paper, thermal microscope image processing algorithms for the micro scanning thermal microscope imaging system are studied, simulation and experiment results show that these algorithms are effective to improve the image quality of the system and system's spatial resolution. In addition, the research result can also be applied into other photoelectric imaging equipments with micro scanning system to improve the imaging quality and optimize the performance of the equipment.
