In the era of internet, the combination of “Crowdfunding” and “News” changes the traditional news-producing mode. The essence of the crowdfunding news is “peopleraising”. The audience, as the guard, are eligible to invest and vote and provide intellectual support and financial security for the production process of the crowdfunding news. The audiences' participation is the decisive factor of the realization of the crowdfunding news. On one hand, the participation of audience, the popularity of internet, the rise of people's awareness and the transformation of information consumption mode are closely related. On the other hand, the audiences' participation and their subjective awareness are tightly connected.This article is mainly composed of some of our country's typical crowdfunding news platforms, the audiences' questionnaires and case studies. It uses both quantitative and qualitative research to summarize the activity, the initiative, the motivation and the characteristics of the audiences' participation behavior and combines theoretical and practical situations to explore the reasons for the audiences' participation of the production of the crowdfunding news. The development of the crowdfunding news is still at a small-scale trial stage. I hope to put forward some valuable advice through the study of the audiences' participation behavior.The thesis mainly consists of six parts. The first part mainly explores the current research status of crowdfunding news in academia. The second part chiefly studies the relative concepts of crowdfunding news and combines practical cases to analyze the production process and characteristics of crowdfunding news. The third part is the key part to be studied, using the quantitative research to demonstrate the characteristics of the audiences' participation behavior via a visual graph. Based on the case studies of the audiences' participation behavior and the production process of the crowdfunding news, it points out the audiences' important position in producing the news. The fourth part and the fifth part explore the reasons for the audiences' participating in the production of the crowdfunding news. It respectively analyzes the underlying causes of the audiences' participation from the perspective of social environment and audiences' psychology. The last part is the difficult one of this thesis. A variety of problems arise in the process of the development of the crowdfunding news and the audiences' initiative is weakened to some extent. By analyzing the factors that constrain the audiences' participation, it puts out a better plan to attract more audiences.
